All fired-up over striking trophies

EACH of the 12twelve winners of the Recruitment Awards was given a distinctive Bristol Blue Glass trophy.

The awards, in the shape of a blue flame, were made entirely by hand by staff at the firm.Managing director Paul Williams said: “We were delighted to be invited to make the trophies for the event.

“The trophy is among one of the hardest we have had to make.

“The centre of the design has been made with clear glass and has been blown in a clear furnace. It is then heated and then the blue glass is manipulated around the centre and blown to make the two-colour effect.

“Ben Taylor, who made the awards, was pretty tired after making 12 of them, but we are delighted with the result.”
