Adverts tailored to target group

ADVERTISING, website design, researching, marketing – all of the above are strings to TMP’s bow.

The agency, which has 25 staff at its Bristol office, impressed Recruitment Awards judges with its campaign for Bristol City Council.

TMP account manager Elouise Wilson said: “Bristol City Council had 20 roles to recruit into for the planning and transport department.

“The roles ranged from road safety officers to more senior roles such as principal engineers.

“An advert was designed for a national and local campaign which included local and trade press and online advertising.

“The traffic lights concept was developed to give instant recognition that these roles were within the transport division. The black background and single green light made the advert visually striking and the green light suggested things were ‘on the move’ within Bristol City Council and the transport department was going to be ‘moving on’ with the number of new recruits.

“Potential candidates were driven to a microsite, www.allsystemsgobristol.co.uk, to find out more and apply. The site included profiles of existing staff at various career levels and portrayed a more human side to Bristol City Council. The advert appeared in conjunction with editorial in the Bristol Evening Post which appeared in May.

“We have worked with the council for approximately three years and do all their media planning and buying which includes press, outdoor, online and radio. We have worked on lots of creative campaigns with the council, although most tend to appear in national and/or trade press and online. TMP are called in when a vacancy arises which is deemed difficult to fill, which could be for any number of reasons.”
