Coast Path Managers support charity walk.
Local path managers of the 630 mile-long South West Coast Path will be among those leading
the walkers on some sections of the Great South West Walk during the month of August.
The walk organisers have divided the South West Coast Path National Trail into 51 sections
varying in length and difficulty to allow people to find something to suit their abilities.
Nobody knows the Coast Path better than the people who look after it, so walkers opting to
walk the Coast Path sections led by the local manager will be in for a double treat. Not
only will they enjoy our stunning coastline, they will also get the inside stories about
the scenery, wildlife and heritage along the way. And they’ll be raising money for their
favourite charities at the same time!
Ros Love, South West Coast Path Co-ordinator is thrilled that some of the path managers
have volunteered to help out. “Summer is a very busy time for Coast Path managers who work
hard to keep the Path in tip-top condition for local people and visitors to enjoy. It’s
great that some of them have spared the time to share their knowledge with walkers taking
part in this very worthwhile venture.”
