STEP 1
We will be printing an entry form in the Mid Devon Gazette every week between December 1 and January 12. Simply complete the entry form printed in the paper and send it to us as instructed. We need your suggestions by January, 29, 2010. Please ensure that the schools head teacher is aware you have nominated them and that the school is a registered charity.
We’ll feature as many of the schools who enter as possible in the Mid Devon Gazette between December 8 and January 12. This is a great chance to let everyone know what ‘project’ you’d undertake if you won one of the cash prizes and also gives you the opportunity to raise additional support from your local community.
STEP 2
The Mid Devon Gazette and Barclays Community Investment Manager will select 5 finalists who will be revealed in the paper on February 9, 2010.
STEP 3
We will print ‘money' in paper every day from February 9 – March 18; each token will have a different ‘monetary value’. The aim is to collect as many tokens as possible, and encourage the people in your school and local community to do the same.
STEP 4
The prizes will be awarded to the schools who submit the tokens with the highest value, weighed against the number of pupils registered at the school. This gives schools with only a few pupils as much chance of winning as the biggest school. The 5 schools who collect the highest value of tokens will be our Cash for Schools 2009 winner and runners-up.
