HE TRANSFIXED the audience with his perfect piano playing and vocal performance.
David Barton, of Strathmore Avenue, north Hull, is the latest Talent Trail heat winner to go through to the semi-finals.

Heat four, held at the Dene Park Sports Club in Dunswell, saw six acts battle it out for places in the semis.
The judges voted unanimously for David to win, as he received the maximum 30 points for his efforts.
Playing and singing Jools Holland piano numbers I Heard Lightning and Bumble Boogie, he also wowed the crowd with an original number called Dreamland.
David was shocked to be chosen to go through to the next round, especially as this was the 20-year-old’s first time in Talent Trail.
He said: “It is brilliant to go through. There has been a lot of really good competition.”
When asked if there was anything he would do differently for the semi-finals, he said: “I am thinking about choosing some different songs, perhaps ones that people know a bit better.”
He will be joined in the semi-finals by vocalist and comedian Monty, real name Dave Naylor, who had the audience in stitches.

He performed comedic versions of Santana’s Smooth, Love Me, by Elvis Presley, and Mika’s Grace Kelly, handling all three tricky songs with ease.
The 41-year-old, of Tison Garth, Anlaby, told the Mail: “I draw my influence from the old-style comics, from the days of the variety hall.
“I took part last year and had such a laugh, I thought I would enter again. I never thought I would get through.”
Also performing in heat four was Martyn Shipstone, licensee at the Railway pub in Cottingham, who showed off his voice with an upbeat version of the Frank Sinatra
classic The Lady Is A Tramp.
Becky Butcher, 17, of Flemingdale, east Hull, overcame her nerves to perform I Love Rock And Roll, by Joan Jett.
Deano, also known as Dean Wildbore, 22, of Hotham Road South, west Hull, entertained the audience with three note-perfect renditions, including Shine, by Take That.
New girl duo Gossip’s choreographed performances – including Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, by Abba – showed they have potential to make an impact on the Hull music scene.

The next heat will be on Tuesday at the Cherokee Club in Askew Avenue, west Hull, from 7.30pm.
