THREE top acts who won the approval of the judges and audiences at this year’s Talent Trail contest have been booked for a top charity show.
Talent Trail 2008 winner David Barton will be on the bill for the Autumn Spectacular.
He will be joined by the competition’s second-place act, Russ X, performing as part of Triple Exposure, and the 45s, the mod band who landed third place in the prestigious contest.
Most of the money raised will go to the Mail’s charity of the year, the Hull Animal Welfare Trust, and about 30 per cent will go to Macmillan Cancer Support.
Organiser Vicky Norman said as well as collecting cash for good causes, the show would give the acts the chance to perform in front of hundreds of people again.

She said: “I’m really pleased we’ve got these acts from Talent Trail who everybody knows are so good.
“I thought David Barton had won when I saw his keyboard playing on the night. He really deserved it.
“There are some acts who never do anything on a big stage like this and it’s good for them to have the chance so they can have it on their CV.”
Mrs Norman said she hoped the show would be a sell-out to benefit both the charities.
She said: “We’re hoping to get about 900 people and raise £10,000 on the night.”
The animal welfare charity is of special significance to Mrs Norman and her husband, Dave, as it supplied them with their dog, Bentley.

“We’ve done little bits for them over the years, but when we heard Animal Welfare was the Mail’s charity of the year we were delighted,” explained Mr Norman, who will host the night alongside Ellie Birch.
“We’ve helped some wonderful causes over the years, but because of Bentley this year is particularly close to my heart.”
Other acts on the bill include Ti Amero, Andy Wilkins, The Davison’s and Gemma’s Dance Academy.
The Autumn Spectacular will be held on October 13.
Tickets cost £10 and are available now from the Hull City Hall booking office or by calling (01482) 226655.
