Bridlington: BRIDLINGTON is the proud owner of two award-winning beaches, beautifully-refurbished promenades, an enticing sea, a picturesque, bustling harbour and a town full of attractions.
It certainly has all the
ingredients for the perfect seaside resort and many of the locals would certainly agree with that.
The town is a holiday haven for the young and old alike. It is fun, friendly and designed especially for families.
Skegness:
JUST a short hop over the Humber Bridge, Skegness has beautiful beaches and plenty of other attractions to keep the whole family entertained.
The town has award-winning golden sands, having picked up the Tidy Britain Group Seaside Award and the prestigious European Blue Flag Award on numerous occasions.
Candyfloss and traditional donkey rides complete the picture and are a treat for the children that cannot be missed.
Cleethorpes:
SANDY beaches, donkey rides, a boating lake and the Promenade Gardens make Cleethorpes one of North East Lincolnshire’s most popular resorts.
There is everything you could wish for at the family resort to keep you – and, more importantly, the kids – entertained through the day and night.
Start the day on the seaside enjoying the sun and
sandcastles before moving on to enjoy a trip to the six-screen cinema, which also features traditional seaside entertainment, such as comedy clubs and pantos.
Then there is Playtowers – a seven-storey children’s play haven. This is sure to tire out the little ones while you grab a bite to eat in one of the many eateries across town.
Hornsea:
AS SOON as the weather warms up, visitors make a beeline for Hornsea and you can understand why.
The traditional seaside resort set in a wide
sweeping bay has beautiful sandy beaches and plenty to do for the whole family.
Spend the day building sandcastles and splashing in the sea all day long before finishing it off with a great meal of fish and chips in one of the town’s cafés.
Scarborough:
THIS was Britain’s first seaside resort and many would tell you it is still the best.
By day, the safe, sandy, accredited beaches of the North and South Bays are really popular with
holiday makers travelling from right across the country.
The two areas are broken by a rocky headland on which stands Scarborough's medieval castle – a true reminder of the past.
Look out for top
quality venues to keep the children entertained, including Kinderland children’s fun park.
Flamborough:
A VISIT to East Yorkshire’s heritage coast is not complete without a trip to Flamborough.
The village itself nestles in the lee of the dramatic Flamborough Head which can be seen from miles around.
It has a number of pubs and restaurants, and is just four miles away from Bridlington.
Few places are as striking as this fishing village, which sits on the edge of rugged and rocky coastline. Here Flamborough Head, Thornwick Bay and Danes Dyke offer peaceful retreats from the hustle and bustle.
