The newly regenerated Brynmill Park contains a lake and recreational area.
Dunvant, a village in Gower, has several churches, local shops and three primary schools. The village also has a rugby club and recreational ground and there is a cycle track running through the centre. The nearest secondary school is in Sketty. Regular buses run from the city centre to Dunvant.
Killay is a hilltop village just over three miles outside Swansea. It is considered a relatively affluent area of the city, with the grassland in the south of the area merging into Gower – a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are various shops, pubs and two supermarkets. And you can also access the Clyne Valley cycle path from here, which takes you down to the seafront at Blackpill.
The village centres around an area known as Sketty Cross. Several local shops, two pubs, banks and a post office are located in this area. The community also boasts a primary school, secondary school, medical centre, church and small library. A distinguished landmark in the vicinity is Sketty Hall, a large Georgian mansion used as a wedding and conference venue.
