History beckons for Samantha
SAMANTHA Anderson graduated this year with a degree in humanities. She studied with DACE on the part-time degree. It took seven years and she had two children while on the course.
It was a lot to manage at times but it was well worth it, I’m so glad I’ve done it,she says Graduation day was one of the best days of my life. When Samantha started the course she had a 10-month-old baby andwasworking part-time in a bank. She wanted to become a teacher and this ambition is what motivated her.
She is now enrolled on a postgraduate teaching course and is set to become a history teacher. The degree also equipped Samantha with transferable skills such as research and analysis, time management, critical thinking, and communication. It was hard with the childcare at first, she said. But my husband helped, he was great such a support, always encouraging me when I got downhearted.SO GLAD Samantha Anderson has achieved her goal. |
