Crafty classes to suit everyone
THE Craft Room in Newton Abbot is a shop full of interesting and varied items for card making, paper crafts, rubber stamping, scrapbooking, jewellery making and more.
It is the major UK stockist and distributor for Paplins Quilling papers, tools and accessories, including fringing machines for both straight and 45-degree cuts for flowers and leaves. It also stocks Flower Soft, Fiskars, Keepsake Boards, Dufex, Arty Farty Design and other templates.
A large selection of decoupage papers and peel-off stickers are available.
Die cutting machines are also available including Sizzix, Cuttlebug and the Cricut — an electronic version that cuts at the push of a button.
The jewellery making section continues to grow, with lovely glass beads and pendants, semi-precious beads, Swarovski crystals, findings, tools and books.
Classes are held regularly, covering lots of different techniques, from beginners to advanced. These include basic card making classes, rubber stamping, different design ideas, from oriental to vintage, waterfall cards, shaker cards, exploding boxes, fantasy film and fibres, jewellery making and lots more.
They usually have at least two demonstration events per month, which are free to attend, just turn up on the day. For more information telephone or call in to the Craft Room at 72 and 72a Queen Street.
