Great weekend festival for foodies
AS the sun eventually begins to shine, it is at last time to start gardening if the recent poor weather has made you reluctant to venture outside.
Fermoy’s Garden Centre is the perfect place to visit this weekend to seek out great gardening advice at their Food and Garden Festival to be held in a giant marquee in the grounds of the centre.
A whole range of gardening experts will be on hand to give you tips, advice and show you what’s new in the way of gardening this season. Question and answer sessions hosted by experts will give you the opportunity to test their knowledge and take in cuttings or samples. Come and admire displays by local gardening societies, find out more about recycling in your home and garden and purchase some bargains only available during the show!
The show is also a celebration of great local food and we will be joined by more than thirty local producers.
Sample their sausages, chocolate, pies and cheese — take a dip in the chocolate fountain or try an oyster from the Oyster Bar. Demonstrations by top local chefs will get your tastebuds going and you can try your hand at chocolate making and even sample a quick slow food cream tea.
All of this takes place between 11am and 4pm both today and tomorrow. Entry is just £2.50 per adult with free entrance for children.
