The perfect haircut with the perfect service

McKinlay Martyn Hairdressing was founded in1997, with some very specific goals.

They were;
1. To be the publics’ first choice for quality hairdressing.
2. To have fun at work.
3. To be successful.

Now 10 years later, partners Karen and Stuart feel that their goals are becoming a reality.

Put simply, our aim is provide the perfect haircut with the perfect service, nothing else will do says Stuart. We believe that too many people feel trapped with their current hairdresser through some sense of misplaced loyalty when really the quality of the product is below par.

One comment seems to top every customer poll in hairdressing says Karen. People want more advice on how to recreate their look at home. It would be crazy to buy a new television, and, on returning home find that it only worked properly in the showroom and there were no instructions with it. That situation so commonly happens with hair.

With this in mind, McKinlay Martyn stylists are trained to help clients through every step of managing their hair from wet to dry, and what to do the next day. We also make sure that the client understands how to change their look at least once, nobody wants to wear the same outfit all the time.

Service at the salon, the environment has been designed to feel spacious and calming. The treatment area boasts shampoo beds that electronically massage your back whilst the hair is cleansed and conditioned. The salon is air conditioned to ensure a perfect temperature at all times. The refreshments menu incorporates five options of coffee and seven of tea as well as mineral water, juice and hot chocolate. Clients are also offered complimentary umbrellas to keep on wet days.

Price
Stuart and Karen are keen to dispel fears that their services are expensive. Our men’s haircutting begins at £15.00 and our woman’s at £23.00. We feel this represents excellent value.

New for 2007
This year the salon has been totally refurbished and the business now spreads over to 28 Fleet Street. It has meant that the salon has nearly doubled in size and has become airy and spacious. A large product shop has been created to allow the public to buy anything they might need for their hair, whilst receiving straight forward advice if needed. TIGI and Paul Mitchell products are stocked comprehensively as are the ever popular GHD irons. Karen says we would love all members of the public to come and see us for their product needs. We are based centrally and advice is always available if needed. Whether you require section clips, a new brush or gift vouchers, we feel we can help.
