The Easter Sunday service at First Church of Christ, Scientist, Torbay will include prayers, hymns, a solo and readings. The Bible Readings include the account in John’s Gospel of the hatred of the Chief priests and the Pharisees to the healing and teachings of Jesus, which led up to the crucifixion. The readings continue with the account of the crucifixion, resurrection and ascension. The significance of the Bible passages will be explained and clarified by further readings from the Christian Science Textbook, ‘Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures’ by Mark Baker Eddy. All are warmly welcomed to share the service..
