The English Riviera is blessed  with some of the best visitor attractions in the UK, with something for everyone. Families will  enjoy getting wet and going wild  at our waterslide park and indoor  leisure complex, while children  will especially enjoy a visit to the   brand-new pirate-themed crazy  golf course or indeed an afternoon  of ten-pin bowling followed by an  evening at the multiplex cinema.

Visitors of all ages will be enthralled by the award-winning  Kents Cavern and The Model Village, while Living Coasts and Occombe Farm join Paignton Zoo as  must-sees for animal lovers. This  summer, the recently refurbished  Torquay Museum is hosting the  Made In Africa exhibition, while  history hunters are also able to get  nostalgic at Bygones, which includes a life-size recreation of a  Victorian shopping street.

Variety is also very much alive on  the English Riviera, and our six  theatres offer something to suit  every shade of the entertainment  spectrum. Holidaymakers will be  able to enjoy everything from  Strictly Comedy and Dancing at  Babbacombe Theatre, to the Lady  Boys of Bangkok in the Princess  Theatre. Fans of bare faced cheek  might even be tempted to experience the return of the Full  Monty at the Little Theatre.

Open air theatre has a long tradition on the English Riviera and  there are some fantastic performances to enjoy this summer for  those armed with a picnic blanket  and a glass of the red stuff. Performances taking places in stunning locations this year include  the Hound Of The Baskervilles,  Romeo and Juliet, The Wind In  The Willows and A Midsummer  Night’s Dream.

Riviera Live is an annual open-air  live music and dance festival  which takes place every weekend  over the summer months around  our harbours and waterfronts.  Promising to provide the soundtrack to the summer, you can  expect to stumble across everything from Thai Dancers to brass  bands and jazz trios to swashbuckling pirate groups.

One of the highlights of the English Riviera annual calendar is  the Agatha Christie Festival, celebrating the life and works of  Torquay’s most famous former  resident. Taking place in September, highlights this year include  theatrical performances, murder  mystery balls, guided walks, boat  trips and even an open-air screening of Death On The Nile in the  grounds of Oldway Mansion.

The English Riviera makes a great  year-round destination and one  you are sure to fall in love with.  Pop into one of our Tourist Information Centres, centrally located in Torquay, Paignton and  Brixham, and our helpful staff will  have a wealth of knowledge and  enthusiasm to share with you.
